The Founder
Helen M. Krauss
I’m a lifelong explorer of knowledge and the art of living well.
With an LL.M. in Law and an MBA in Strategic Management (both First Class honours), I spent my early 20s studying across Europe and Asia from Belfast and Heidelberg, to Stockholm and Hong Kong, pursuing intellectual challenges and the perfect espresso with equal dedication.
At international law firms like Clifford Chance and Baker & McKenzie, and later at a fast-moving Startup, I advised clients combining legal precision and project management without taking myself too seriously.
After years in what I now call a frenzied lifestyle experiment, I realized that longevity wasn’t found in meetings, boardrooms and being on a caffeine high while always on the run. A health scare prompted a radical shift: I swapped late nights for nutrition science, exercise, and a serious commitment to green vegetables - though I never gave up my passion for good coffee.
Seeking a new intellectual challenge, I spent two years in a PhD programme at Cambridge University, immersed in rigorous academic research, working alongside fellow explorers of complex challenges. My journey then led me to integrative medicine, where I earned a First-Class University degree in Chinese Medicine in London. My fascination with the body - as both art and science - has only deepened since, blending ancient healing wisdom with cutting-edge longevity research.
Today, I channel my obsession with health science into Zero Dark 120, where I explore longevity through a mix of evidence-backed science, Chinese Medicine and practical real-world strategies.
My goal? Not just a long life, but a good one - a healthy one. The kind of life where science, strategy, and a touch of rebellion redefine what it means to age well.
When I’m not researching or writing for Zero Dark 120, I ‘m deep in strategic scenario planning - whether refining long-term strategies in my day job or tackling the next phase of our period house renovation. Otherwise, you’ll find me exercising, inventing new recipes, or perfecting the “British meets Luxembourg” aesthetic.
